Ubuntu: Universal USB-C Dock – Display

Install DisplayLink Universal USB-C Dock Display-Drivers

Download:
https://www.displaylink.com/downloads/ubuntu

cd ~/Downloads
unzip "DisplayLink USB Graphics Software for Ubuntu x.x.zip"
chmod +x displaylink-driver-x.x.xx.run
sudo apt-get install dkms
sudo ./displaylink-driver-x.x.xx.run
Disable SecureBoot if you have an nvidia graphics card installed

If Secureboot is enabled nvidia will install MOK-Keys to sign the binaries.
This can lead to pixel errors on your display.

Install nvidia-drivers
(sudo apt-get purge nvidia*)
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
sudo apt-get install nvidia-390

Please replace 390 with the current driver version. To list available versions use the following command:

sudo apt list | grep "nvidia-.*/bionic"
